Martin R. Wiarda is a partner at Jones, Allen & Fuquay, L.L.P. He has distinguished himself within the firm as an exceptional attorney handling a substantive portion of the firm's commercial real estate, banking and commercial finance practice. His practice includes the representation of developers, banks and other commercial lenders in connection with the negotiation and documentation of the acquisition, development, financing and construction of commercial real estate projects. Martin's commercial finance, banking and commercial real estate clients include JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Compass Bank, Texas Capital Bank, N.A., Coppermark Bank, Bank of Texas, N.A., and State Bank and Trust Company. In addition to his real estate and commercial finance work, Martin has significant experience with general business and construction law.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey in 1960, Martin attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture. He received his Juris Doctorate (with Distinction) from St. Mary's University Law School in San Antonio, Texas, where he was a note and comment editor for the St. Mary's Law Journal. While at St. Mary's University, Martin was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the John M. Harlan Society and served as a Legal Research and Writing instructor.

Martin was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1987 and was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas in 1998.

Martin and his family reside in Allen, Texas where he is actively involved in various community and civic organizations, including the Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise, where he served as president in 2002-2003.
