Charles S. Fuquay is a partner at Jones, Allen & Fuquay. He joined the firm in 1981, and has developed expertise in business transactions, contract negotiation, estate planning and probate.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, in 1948, Charles attended University of Texas at Austin where he majored in economics. He also received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1973 he was admitted to the Texas State Bar and worked for the Dallas Legal Aid Society. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas, in 1975 and was subsequently admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, and U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit.

Charles heads the estate planning and probate practice at Jones, Allen & Fuquay. He has significant experience handling the estate planning needs of individuals and private business owners and is adept at minimizing federal estate taxes, using wills, gifts, trusts, family partnerships, and marital property agreements. Additionally, he has helped numerous clients develop appropriate business succession plans, including recapitalizations and buy-sell agreements.

In addition to estate planning, probate, and business transactions, Charles handles a variety of legal matters including banking and finance, contracts, real estate, and business litigation.
